Beginning Entrepreneur

Join two aspiring entrepreneurs as they pursue freedom and purpose. Listen each week as we discuss our decisions, successes and failures in real time.

BE Podcast Episode 7 (two parts)

We went too long (that’s what she said) so we broke the podcast up into two parts.

In Part I, we discuss our latest efforts toward freedom and purpose, why radical people do what average people never will, how to destroy fear and negative people. Also, we might talk about roofies.

Podcast length: 32:13

Part II is all about life missions, being creative just for the hell of it, the meaninglessness of life (in a good way), pushing through the desire to quit, and minimalism (aka: how to fit your life on a bicycle).

In Part I, we talk about the War of Art by Steven Pressfield. If you’re trying to do anything important with your life, but you have a hard time getting started or sticking with it, you must read this book. It’ll change your life.

And here’s the incredibly inspiring clip from the Joe Rogan podcast.

BE Podcast Episode 4

Episode No. 4
! Garin and I unveil our second business projects.

Garin’s business: The Daily Stockpile. Combine the idea of Groupon and apply it to self-sufficiency products, and you’ve got The Daily Stockpile. Customers can save money on things they already buy in bulk: food, water, ammo, emergency supplies, etc.

Mike’s business: How do we help guide every man’s desperate quest to find “man-ness”? By reintroducing the vitally important Rites of Passage ceremonies between fathers and sons, we can help set young men on a path of strength, confidence and identity. I’ve created a three-month curriculum that culminates with a three-day test/ceremony in the mountains of Montana. Visit the Primal Pilgrimage site for more information.

In this episode
, Garin and I reveal the first business he and I are working on.

Garin’s business idea: To start a motorcycle touring company through the Pacific Northwest that caters to French speaking visitors. Check out his site at Motards West.

Mike’s business idea: We live in a system that does it’s best to rob us of our humanity. It turns us into unhealthy, unhappy drones. How can we break free of that, revive our human spirit and be thriving human beings? By improving our food, movement and habitat (lifestyle), we can radically change our lives for the good. The Devolution Revolution (DevoRevo) is about showing people how to live in line with how humans evolved during hundreds of thousands of years without abandoning their day jobs or running to live in caves.
